We are at a critical turning point and need your help more than ever before to be able to continue bringing exciting live theatre to the island. If you believe in the work of Intrepid Theatre, we urge you to consider sponsoring a chair in the Metro Studio with a donation of $100 or more. The Metro Seat Campaign runs til March 31, 2012, so all donations between now and then will be recognised. There is a limit of 191 seats! >>Donate online now.

WHY DONATE?

Intrepid Theatre is a non-profit organisation that develops work by talented emerging artists, presents alternative theatre from around the globe, and provides affordable venues for local performers. A desire to bring new kinds of performance from across the country and around the world to Vancouver Island has lead to the development of one of Canada’s first Fringe Festivals, the utterly unique Uno Fest, and an annual presenting series that has consistently delivered the highlights of Victoria’s (and Canada’s) alternative theatre seasons. Last year 35,000 people saw a Intrepid Theatre show. We believe live theatre should be affordable and accessible for all audiences, so we put on 24 Pay-What-You-Can performances each year and subsidize all ticket prices. This means that Intrepid Theatre relies on the generosity of  individual donors to allow audiences of all backgrounds access to theatre and to support emerging artists. You can help!

Volunteer

Volunteering is fun, easy and a great way to see shows for free! Intrepid Theatre could not run without the help of our incredible army of volunteers. We are always looking for more volunteers for upcoming shows and festivals.

Sponsor the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival, Uno Fest or the Metro Studio. Be a part of Vancouver Island’s biggest theatre event and a community of over 30,000 people who attend  Intrepid Theatre’s events throughout the year. More than 22,250 people came out to enjoy the 2009 Victoria Fringe. This is more than a “record” – it’s a 27% increase in ticketed attendance alone, and we returned more than $124,000 to participating artists.
