The Metro Studio is a 185 seat, black box-style theatre equipped for theatre, dance, live music, screenings, meetings, rehearsals, film shoots and receptions in downtown Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The Metro Studio is home to Intrepid Theatre’s  Winterlab, Uno Fest, the Victoria Fringe Festival, the Intrepid Presents Series, and is a professional rental venue, hosting over 50 arts groups every year including Dance Victoria, Kaleidoscope Theatre, ZarYevka Ballet, Theatre SKAM, the Victoria School of Contemporary Dance and the Canadian College of Performing Arts.

The only dedicated performance space of its kind in downtown Victoria, located at 1411 Quadra Street on the busy corner of  Quadra and Johnson Street, near every bus route, The Metro Studio is a spacious black box theatre with a 28’ wide and 24’6” deep stage with wing space on both sides. The grid is 18’6” above stage level. The venue is fully equipped with theatrical lighting and sound systems, a clearcom system, a grand piano, a digital projector and Marley Dance Floor, as well as a green room and concession. The Metro features 185 upholstered seats on tiered audience risers in a proscenium configuration providing excellent sight lines and is fully wheelchair accessible.
