Artist Applications for the 2012 Uno Fest (May-June) are now closed. Deadline November 4, 2011.
Uno Fest, now in its 15th year, is a juried festival of one-person shows. Many of the shows in the festival are invited directly, but a minimum of two productions are selected from an open application process, in which applicants submit a video of the show they’d like to bring to the festival for review by a jury. The Deadline to apply is November 4, 2011, with notification by Nov 21. The festival dates are May 24-June 3, 2012.
Uno Fest takes place in the Metro Studio and Intrepid Theatre Club in downtown Victoria BC. The next festival lineup will be announced in January 2012, and tickets and multi-show passes will go on sale in March.
Recent Uno Fest artists have included Mike Daisey, Andy Jones, Maja Ardal, TJ Dawe, Eric Davis, Missie Peters, Chris Leavins, Chris Gibbs, Morgan Brayton, Bob Wiseman, Anusree Roy, neworld theatre, Daniel Barrow, Lyle Victor Albert, 2boys.tv, and many others – over 180 solo artists have participated over the past 14 years.

HOW TO APPLY: 2012 Uno Artist Applications
Applications for the 2012 Uno Fest (May-June) are now closed. The deadline to apply to Uno Fest was November 4, 2011. Complete details and FAQs are included in the application, which you can download below. Because support materials are required, there is no online application.
We are looking for fully-produced one-person shows, which are “light” in their production requirements and can be performed in a tight festival repertory schedule (ie – shows with big set installations or extraordinary technical needs may not be possible), and which have video documentation available that can be considered by the jury. We do not read scripts or return videos. All materials must be submitted by the November 4th deadline.
For more information on applying to Uno, contact Janet Munsil, Producer at 250-383-2663 or email.
